It's a process of restoring your doll's hair. It works great. Here is Joy's restoration album showing how it is done.

I use the regular blue kind, too. It's fine, and helps to deodorize smokey dolls' hair. But, I'm going to try the fragrance-free kind when this runs out.

I used the blue on Kaileys hair and it worked fine, although I wasn't very fond of the smell. Good luck!!

As others have already mentioned, there is a white (not clear) Downey. It's fragrence-free and dye-free, and it comes in a white bottle. I like it because I don't like the dolls to have a scent after their treatment. :-) Once or twice before, I have heard feedback from people that their store did not sell it. If your local grocery store doesn't carry it (it would be with the other laundry products), you might find it in one of the mega stores, like the larger Jewel, Dominick's, KMart, Target, or Walmart stores.

I got my fragrance-free downey at Walmart. It is white, though I am not convinced it is truly "frangrance free". The smell is significantly fainter than the traditional downey, but it still smells. Maybe I just have a sensitive nose! The doll doesn't have a scent to her hair now, so I guess it doesn't matter!
